Before Toto was formed the members of the group played session work for other musicians. In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by re-discovering old demos and tapes to release a special record called Toto XX. The album was well-received by fans and Toto embarked on an extensive tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
