Path of Exile Item Upgrades

item Upgrade upgrades are a common and important way to improve the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can provide extra damage, AD or even affixes.

Sometimes, however, upgraded Common and Magic gear is often surpassed by Rare-grade gear because of their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be used on weapon and armor items. They increase the effectiveness of the item upgrader they're attached to. Armor upgrades can be found in the world of games and are available from Blacksmiths on bonfires. Alternately, they can be salvaged from items with upgrade components inside them, with a professional or higher salvage kit.

The amount of damage that a piece of armor or weapon will absorb is contingent on the degree of upgrades. The damage absorption of an item of armor will increase as it is upgraded to its maximum upgrade level. But, it's important to keep in mind that this will raise its weight, requiring it to weigh more than it was before.

There are several different types of armor upgrade available in the game. Each one has a distinct impact. Certain upgrades give armor a greater amount of health points while others make it stronger and lighter. The name of the upgrade will tell you the kind of upgrade the item upgrader can receive, as shown below.

Some of the upgrades also require magic or a combination of technology and magic, which are indicated by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table below. Certain upgrades require charges to use. These are indicated as "Charges" entries in the table. These charges are either continuously updated or never expire depending on the upgrade.

The cheapest method of upgrading armor is by using Iron Ore, which can be obtained by exploring the area and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more expensive, however, it is available at the smelters of Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Some upgrades, like the Reforge or the Hot Potato Books can only be used on armor pieces of the highest level. These upgrades can give a significant improvements in stats and are worth the cost.

The player should be aware, however, that upgrading a piece up to the maximum upgrade level can boost its defense. However, it can also decrease its agility and its speed. It is not recommended to upgrade armor past +9. The boost in defense typically isn't worth the weight and power costs of the upgrades.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades allow players to enhance certain aspects of their weapon. For example an upgrade can increase the damage dealt by shotgun shells or the accuracy of a sniper rifle. Certain firearms have enhancements to enhance their intrinsic characteristics. Frictionless materials (improves stability, reduces the risk of the risk of overheating) and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's velocity to cause more damage) are two examples.

The majority of weapon upgrades require a whetblade, one of three Power Dices and a different amount Minerals and Erons. These can be obtained by completing side quests or by killing a certain number of bosses and monsters.

To improve their skills faster, many players prioritize upgrading their weapons. Players should also upgrade the weapons that their squadmates use to make them stronger. Shepard for instance should upgrade his M92F so that he can unlock the Beretta M93R. This will increase the effectiveness of the weapon when used with biotic specialists such as Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels are used in the armor's sockets and weapons, increasing the power of a character and bringing about secondary effects. Jewelry crafting is a method for creating them. You combine the gemstone with specific reagents in a jewelry table. The higher the grade of the jewel, the better its secondary effect. These reagents can be obtained around the world from Treasure Goblins, World Bosses and, sometimes, by salvaging Legendary equipment. You can also purchase them from The Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Prism.

The quality of a gem can be improved at the Jeweler, with stages that range from Crude to Royal. Depending on the tier of the gem it will give different stat boosts when it is inserted into weapons, gear and jewelry.

All kinds of jewels can be made at the Jeweler, with the exception of the rare and legendary jewels which require you to be at a sufficient level to be able to get the privilege of having them. Jewels can be replaced with another one without damaging the original. However, you can only replace a jewel in an equipment piece only once.

It is normal to use more jewels to enhance the appearance of. Apart from improving performance, the diamonds create a surface that is harder than metal, so repeated friction from pivots won't damage them as easily.

A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs to enhance the appearance of your weapons and shields. These provide a small bonus and can be swapped freely but aren't guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs, like jewelry, can be upgraded by the Jeweler in exchange for Scattered Crystals and gold. Glyphs are also removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as aegis and traits, cannot be swapped out, and are only recoverable by using an Upgrade Extractor, or by salvaging them using Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets can give your character various small, but valuable benefits. They can be acquired starting in the starter areas as loot or personal story rewards from vendors, and through performing road interactions. They can also be made by jewelers, and then found or purchased on the Trading Post.

The first trinkets that a player can unlock is the cloak. It grants a small but useful bonus in speed of movement and the ability to escape. The player can then acquire rings, amulets and necklaces in a similar fashion as they did with weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment has an upgrade slot which can be universal or jewel. Universal upgrades offer fewer benefits and can be used in any type of equipment, however, jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded and is only compatible with certain types of trinkets.

These trinkets also provide additional buffs and skills that are active when the hero is not fighting. This lets the hero be more effective while inactive and may also help fill in the void of a solid team or any slots in the talent tree that would normally be filled with the hero's best stats.

A good guideline for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best-in-Slot) items that you won't be replacing in the near future, then any items with desirable stats, but less important than the iLevel of the item upgrader mod to be upgraded. This is especially true when you're looking to upgrade several stats on an item upgrade. It is best to upgrade just one crucial stat than two less important ones.

Jungle players usually upgrade their yellow trinkets to a red one at the beginning of the game. Mid and top players however they will select a pink or green ward, depending on the matchup. These choices will have a significant impact on the hero's abilities to control maps.

Aside from the things mentioned above, players can find other trinkets in the game in the form of awards and trophies. They can be earned by completing certain milestones within the story, like the main quest of a chapter or destroying a boss. They can be viewed by selecting the relevant achievement in the reward tab of the hero menu.
